Recipe – Edible Pine Cone

Give your charcuterie and grazing boards a ‘lil glow up this season with an edible pine cone! Made with only three ingredients, these edible pine cones are quick to make and add a wow factor to your Fall or holiday entertaining.

Ingredients:

  • Gourmais® Polenta Crisps
  • Goat cheese / soft cheese (substitute for plant-based cheese as needed)
  • Brown edible paint powder or color spray (optional)

Steps:

  1. Lay out your polenta crisps or crackers on a plate and coat evenly with edible paint powder or color spray.
    • Note: Careful that the edible color may transfer on fingertips and lips! This step is optional.
  2. Mold cheese into a cone-like, cylindrical shape on a separate plate.
  3. Break polenta crisps into pieces and insert into the side of the cheese at the bottom. Slant the polenta crisps slightly upward.
  4. Building from the bottom to top of the cheese, repeat step 3. Use smaller pieces as you go up.
  5. Adjust the shape as needed and fill in any bald or empty spots.
